Cerys was 1 year old when her parents´ car was hit full frontal by a young man, who made a reckless overtaking at a high speed of 70 mph. That´s roughly 110-115 km/h.

Cerys´ parents aren´t aware that this video has been uploaded to this site. They bought what must have been a forward facing car seat for Cerys with the best intentions and with the knowledge available to them.

Cerys Edwards´ story is also proof that no-one is 100% safe on the road in cars no matter how good a driver one is. No-one can control how others drive.

There are three issues here:

– WAY too low sentences for dangerous drivers, which I´m sure is the case all over Europe.

– Too little information on the importance of keeping children rearfacing in the car way past the minimum limit of 9 kg and 9 months.

– Too few retailers of large Scandinavian rearfacing child car seats in GB. and the rest of Europe.

It has now been comfirmed that Cerys was sitting in a forwardfacing car seat. It was confirmed by a family member of the police officer in the video. It has also been confirmed that Cery´s car seat was correctly installed.
