Fejlanvendt stol/Misused seat

I katagorien fejlanvendelse ligger bla.

Selen sættes fast i to forskellige hak

Selen er for løs

Tidligt skift til næste stole-størrelse

isofix solves issues with the installation to a huge degree. However, it does not solve problems regarding various types of “Misuse”. Misuse is a huge problem, but parents are not aware of the mistakes they make – if they make them. Misuse includes

Incorrect harness height.

Thick clothing means wrong harness positioning on the shoulders

Twisted harness straps

The harness straps are in two different slots

The harness is too loose

early graduation to a bigger seat

Her er selen for lav/The harness is set too low

her er selehøjden korrekt/Harness height is correct

her er selen for løs/The harness is too loose in this picture

Endnu et billed af selen mens den er for lav/Another picture of the harness set too low

The thick jacket has resulted in wrong positioning of the harness on the shoulders and cannot be tightend enough.

Korrekt seleposition på skuldrene og selen er spændt godt nok/Correct harness positioning on the shoulders and it is tight enough

Another exsample of correct harness height and positioning as well as correct tightening.

This accident happend in Great Britain in ultimo November 2011 The type of seat that the boy used is unknown. But fact is that he was not correctly fastend in the seat. The likelyhood that the seat itself wasn´t correctly installed is high. The accident really stresses the importance of reading and following the user guide that comes with your car seat as well as not to ignore expert advice.

Sophie Boyeldieu couldn’t explain to police why she had been out of control at the wheel.

A WOMAN motorist who smashed head-on into a minibus caused the death of her baby son because she hadn’t strapped him in properly.

Sophie Boyeldieu, 21, was seen repeatedly swerving at 60mph across a carriageway into the opposite lane before the horrific crash.

The mother broke down in tears when told 17-month-old Aidan might have survived had she fitted his seat straps correctly in the Honda Jazz.

But he was loose enough to smash his head on the roof when the car flipped over, and died despite being airlifted to hospital.

Boyeldieu and her partner John Grice were on the A63 near Selby, North Yorkshire, in April when she began to drive erratically.

She hit a charity minibus and the volunteer driver, Desmond O’Neills, suffered multiple injuries including a broken collar bone.”
