Bilens størrelse har ingen indflydelse på hvor godt eller skidt en bagudvendt autostol passer ind. det er bilens interiør og de voksne på forsædet der er afgørende. En stor bil er ikke nødvendigvis stor invendigt og en lille bil er ikke nødvendigvis lille indvendig i selve passagerkabinen.

Der kan forekomme fotos af stolen i biler lånt hos en forhandler. Nogle fotos taget hos bilforhandlere inkluderer fotos af mig for at vise benpladsen foran for en 180 cm høj person.

The size of the car has no influence on how much comfort a rearfacing seat takes away in front. The adults in the front seats and the car interior are the determining factors. A large car might not have heaps of room in the passenger area. A small car can have good room for a rearfacing seat

Some of the photos taken at car dealships include “Yours Truely” in order to give a better indication for the leg space for a 180 cm tall person. That is 5ft 11″.

VW Touran

Familien på 4 havde brug for en ny autostol til det mindste medlem på 10 kg. De ønskede en isofix-model som kunne være bag førersædet i hvileposition.

Far: 190 cm

Mor: 160 cm

VW Touran har helt lige bagsæder hvilket betyder vi ikke behøvede at vurdere hældning på stolene.

En man skal være særligt opmærksom på med en bil som VW Touran er at der er opbevaringsrum i gulvet mellem de yderste bagsæder og forsæderne. Støttebenene kan brage igennem låget på disse rum. Man kan reducere den risiko en del ved at lade autostolen have kontakt til forsædet, men ikke udelukke den. Det er vigtigt at tjekke billisten til den model man ønsker da ikke alle producenter godkender autostole til disse biler eller disse pladser i bilerne.

I dag afprøvede vi modeller som må anvendes i bilen på de yderste pladser mod at gulvrummene fyldes ud med stødabsorberende materiale så som styrodur – isoleringsmateriale som nemt kan skaffes billigt i byghandler. Eller VWs egen løsning.

Monteringen var rigtig nem med alle stolene, da isofixsystemet I bilen sidder langt fremme.

Fin plads til far foran. Men fastspændningen af sønnen var ikke helt god grundet den store afstand mellem selehullerne. Selen i 2. hul startede et stykke under skulderniveau på drengen. 3. og sidste selehul sad oppe forbi hans ører.

This family of 4 needed a new and bigger seat for the youngest and 10 kg member. They wanted an isofix seat that could be used behind the driver´s seat fully reclined with enough room in front for both parents:

Father: 190 cm

Mother: 160 cm

There was no need to estimate the recline of the seats because the backseats in the VW Touran are very level.

One thing to look out for with cars like the VW Touran is the underfloor storage rooms between the two outer backseats and both front seats. The supportleg can easierly penetrate the lids in a crash rendering the seats unstable resulting in higher loads on the child. It is important to check the car list that comes with the car seat you want as some manufactorers don´t approve their seats for the car at all or just not approve them for use in the outer backseat positions. Many do however have solutions for this issue.

Today we tested seats that have been approved for use in these seating positions provided that the rooms would be filled with shock absorbent material such as Styrodur or VW´s own solution.

The installtion of these seats was very easy because the isofix system in the car was far forwards.

Nice space in front for the father. However the son could not be safely secured in the seat due to the large distance between harness positions. The 2. Position was somewhat below shoulder level. The 3rd. position was above his ears.

 

Saab 9-3

Familien skulle bruge to autostole til deres tvillinger. De havde to biler: En VW Passat st fra 2001 og en Saab 9-3. Saaben var med til afprøvningen, da det var den bil de brugte mest. Det var uvidst om Passaten havde isofix, men VW var iblandt de allerførste til at montere systemet i deres biler daterende tilbage til slutningen af 1990erne, men UDEN at markere det. Saaben derimod havde markeringerne på sæderne.

Ud over isofixsystemet havde Saaben også såkaldte Eyelets/Tether loops fabriksmonteret på forsæde skinnerne. Disse er specifikt til montering af forankringsseler til de selemonterede bagudvendte autostole.

Isofix-systemet i Saab sad meget dybt. For at lette monteringen af isofix stole kan det være nødvendigt at bruge kapslerne der følger med stolene ved køb til at blotte dem og lette adgangen til dem.

Pigerne kunne sidde selv og vejede 10 kg.

Stolene blev afprøvet bag førersædet, da der er mindst plads til den voksne foran her end bag passagersædet.

Var rigtig nem at montere I bilen pga dens isofix arme laser. Pladsbehovet var dog alt for stort. Hvilestillingen var som vanlig rigtig fin og tvillingerne kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i den.

This family needed two seats for their twins. They had two cars: One VW Passat estate 2001 and a Saab 9-3 . estate. The Saab was brought along for the test fitting because this is the car that they use the most. It was unknown wether or not the Passat had  isofix. But VW was among the first to install the system into their cars in the late 1990s. They would not mark the seats with isofix labels back then. The Saab on the other hand had the labels in place.

Besides the isofix points on the two outer rearseats, the Saab was also equipted with so-called eyelets – also referred to as tether loops preinstalled on the front seat runners. These are for installing  belted rearfacing car seats´ tether straps.

The isofix system was potioned very deep in this car. So in order to make the installation of isofix seats easier, the plastic caps that come with the seats were attached to the isofix system in the car in order to expose them.

The girls were able to sit unassisted and weighed 10 kg.

The seats were tested behind the driver´s seat as there is less room fornt to back here than behind the front passenger seat.

Its was extreemly easy to install due to the locking isofix arms. Space requirements were much too big. Recline position was excellent as usual and the twins could be safely secured in it.

 

Ford Focus st 2001

Familien havde to biler som stolen skulle skifte imellem. Vigtigst var dog hældningen på stolen. Den anden bil var en Skoda Superb, som er noget mere rummelig end Ford Focus.

Mor målte 165 cm og var den eneste som kørte i Focusen. Dermed var pladsbehovet i bilen ikke en så vigtig faktor. I Skoda Superb ville hun sidde på passagersædet.

Sønnen var 11 måneder gammel.

Stolene blev afprøvet bag førersædet.

Kunne monteres forsvarligt i bilen med sikkerhedsselen. Hældningen var god og den eftrelod fin plads på forsædet. Drengen kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i den.

This family owned two cars, and they needed a seat that would fit both cars. The most important thing was the recline angle. The other car was a Skoda Superb which is somewhat more roomey than the Focus.

Mother measured 165 cm in height. The father was somewhat taller, but space requirements would not be a factor as the mother was the only one driving the Focus and the father was the only one driving the Superb. The mother would allways sit in the passenger seat in the Superb.

The son was 11 months old

The seats were tested behind driver.

This seat culd be safely installed with the seatbelt . the recline angle was good and it left sufficient space in front. The son could be safely fastend in the seat.

 

Honda Jazz

Der skulle to nye autostole til tvillingerne på 2 år og 12-13 kg. De sad stadig i deres babystole, men de skulle skifte nu da de for det første var ved at nå vægtgrænsen og for det andet var for lange i og med at toppen af hovedet nåede stolens øverste kant. (gælder kun babystolene). Tvillingerne havde deres flyverdragter på grundet det kolde vejr. Så det var ikke muligt at prøve at spænde dem fast i stolene som blev afprøvet. En gennemgang af fastspændning af barn i autostol med 5 punktssele. Gennemgangen indbefattede diverse sikkerhedsrisici ved brugen af stort overtøj i autostole generelt. Det er nemlig sådan at det forringer sikkerheden i stolen væsenligt – på flere punkter (se indlæg    )dog værre endnu med fremadvendte autostole. Korrekt selehøjde blev også gennemgået samt hvor fast selen skal spændes på barnet. Vi gennemgik også hvornår de større stole er udvokset (spidsen af ørerne når stolens øverste kant eller skuldre rammer hovedstøtten). Stolens position i bilen: Oprejst eller liggende når barnet bliver stort.

Far var 186 cm høj. Mor godt 165 cm. Mor og far skiftedes til at køre bilen. Stolene blev afprøvet bag førersædet da der her er mindst plads foran.

Stolen var nem at montere I bilen. Men stolen var for stor for faderen foran. Fin hældning.

A pair of 2 –year-old 12-13 kg twins needed bigger seats. They were still in their baby carriers bu needed to change now, as they were nearing the weight limit and the top of their heads were at the top of the seats (rule for baby carriers only). The twins were wearing their snow suits due to cold weather. It was therefore not possible to fasten them into the seats that were tried in the car. Lessons in correct clothing in car seats was done as thick clothing reduces the harness ability to restrain and thereby the seats ability to protect the child in it significantly – this is particulary bad for forward facing seats of all types. (read entry  ). Correct harness position and correct tension of the harness was informed on. When the bigger cars eats would be outgrown by height was also touched (tip of ears reach top of seat or shoulders hit the head support). The seat´s position in the car – upright vs. reclined for older children was informed on.

Father was 186 cm tall. Mother app 165 cm tall. Both parents drove the car. The seats were tested behind the driver´s seat as there is less room in front there.

The seat was easy to install in the car. But there was too little room in front for the father. Fine recline angle.

 

Opel Vectra 2007/Vauxhall Vectra

Isofix eftermonteret – sad dybt inde. Pige 11 måneder og 9 kg. Forældre  var ca 165-175 cm høje. Pigen havde stadig god plads i babystolen. Afprøvning bag førersædet. 

Stolen var nem at montere I bilen bag førersædet. Isofix-armene kan trækkes langt ud fra basen hvilket var vigtigt i denne bil hvor isofix-systemet sad meget dybt. Hældningen var fin som vanlig og datteren passede godt ned i stolen.

Der var god plads foran.

Isofix system was placed very deeply. The daughter was 11 months old and weighed 9 kg. The parents were app 165-170 cm tall. The daughter still had good room left to grow in her infant carrier. Test installation behind the driver.

The seat was easy to install in the car as the isofix arms can be pulled far out from the base unit, which was important in this car because the isofix brackets were placed very deep. Recline angle was fine as usual with this seat and this was a must for this little girl. The daughtercould be safely strapped in.

Space in front was good.

 

Mizubishi Colt

Mor på ca 170 cm ønskede en stol som kunne være på forsædet. Drengen var  11 måneder og 10 kg. Ingen andre i bilen for det meste, så pladsbehov havde ikke den store betydning. Muligheden for ekstra spejl på sidespejl drøftet, da en del af stolene kan spærre helt eller delvist for udsynet til sidespejlet.

Drengen havde siddet på forsædet i sin babystol. Mor var nervøs for at han skulle komme til at kede sig på bagsædet. Vi snakkede lidt om udsynet for et barn i en bagudvendt stol på bagsædet, som er langt bedre end udsynet fra babystolen i og med barnet ville få udsyn gennem begge sideruder og bagruden.

Placering på forsædet blev drøftet kort. Forsædet er en meget sikker plads for børn i en større bagudvendt stol placeret helt op til instrumentbrættet faktisk. Med mindre barnet er meget uroligt der og distraherer føreren. af bilen. Instrumentbrættet er meget effektivt til at bremse stolen i en kollision. Benpladsen for barnet øges ofte her hvorved bagudvendt placering kan forlænges væsenligt. Vores statistikker er baseret på børn i de små babystole og fremadvendte stole – IKKE disse store bagudvendte autostole. Airbaggen skal være deaktiveret. Colt har nøglelås til airbaggen. Med en nøglelås lukker man af for al elektronikken der går til airbaggen. Man låser ikke en dør for den.

Forsæde: Nem og solid selemontering på forsædet og endda fint udsyn til sidespejl. Fin afstand mellem top af stolen og foruden.

Bagsædet bag førersædet: Både isofix og selemontering var helt problemfri. Fin Plads til mor foran.

Valget faldt på denne stol.

Mother app 170 cm tall wanted a seat that could be installed in the front seat. Her son was 11 months old and 10 kg. No-one-else would be transported in the car for the most time, so space requirements weren´t an issue at all. The possibility to install an extra wingmirror on the exsisting one was discussed briefly as some of the seats will block the view to it parcially or completely.

The son had allways been placed in the front passenger seat in his infant carrier. Mother feared that he would get bored if placed in the backseat. So we discussed this myth. Children are placed higher up in the larger rearfacing seats and so they get to look out the side windows and the backscreen. This is much better than the view from infant carriers.

Front seat safety was dicussed too. It so happens that this spot is very safe for children in larger rearfacing seats installed with contact to the dashboard onless the child can´t sit still and distracts the driver a lot. Dashboard is very effective at restraining the seat in a collision. Front seat also leaves more legspace for the child resulting in somewhat longer rearfacing time. Our statistics are based on infant carriers and forward facing systems – NOT these larger rearfacing systems.

The Airbag must be deactivated. The Colt has a key switch for this. A key switch shuts down all electronic impulses that lead to the airbag. It is not like shutting a door.

Front seat: Easy and solid installation with the seatbelt and even great view to the wing mirror. Sufficient distance from top of seat to the front screen.

Backseat behind driver: Very easy installation with isofix and seatbelt alike. Great legroom for the mother in front.

She chose this seat.

 

Renault Grand Scenic

[warning]OBS særlige forholdsregler! Bilen har rum i gulvet bag forsæderne. [/warning]

Denne familie skulle bruge en ny autostol til deres datter på 10 måneder og ca 78 cm lang. Hun kunne sidde selv. Ønsket var en isofix stol grundet den nemmere montering. Begge forældre var omkring 180 cm høje – faderen måske lidt mere. 

Grand Scenic er en dejlig rummelig familiebil. Den har tre fulde sæder bagi, med mulighed for at rykke disse frem og tilbage. Bilen har isofix på alle tre bagsæder. Isofixet i bilen er rigtig nemt at komme til. Det er inde i selve sædehynden lige i revenen mellem ryglæn og sæde. Dermed er isofixet sat højt oppe og således er der ingen problemer med hældningen i bilen.

Bilen har dog et problem, som er de rum der findes i gulvet mellem de yderste bagsæder og forsæderne. Disse er godt gemt af vejen under en lang gulvmåtte og et låg. Det er nødvendigt at fylde disse rum ud – gerne med det som autostolsproducenten selv anbefaler med mindre at støttebenet kan nå helt ned til stålbunden. Se endvidere indlægget om Gulvrum. Støttebenene på nogle isofix autostole vil helt misse disse rum hvorfor disse forholdsregler ikke er nødvendige for dem. Støtteben kan gå igennem lågene i en kollision, med mindre rummene fyldes ud eller benet kan nå bilens stålbund. Der ud over er det her vigtigt at autostolen får støtte af forsædet for at lindre trykket på bilens bund.

Ingen problemer med monteringen bortset fra at støttebenet ikke kunne nå bunden af gulvrummet. Det ville ikke have hjulpet at rykke bagsædet tilbage. Det svævede flere cm over bunden. Heldigvis har Klippan anbefalinger til udfylning af gulvrum. Krydsfinér og styrodur er et par af dem også låget ovenpå er et par af dem som er nemme at komme til i byggemarkeder.

Det var nemt at spænde datteren forsvarligt fast i stolen. Hun brugte selehul 2 og havde oceaner af plads at vokse på.

Der var ikke helt plads nok foran. Men stolen kan i så fald bare monteres i midten af bilen i stedet for. Her forsvinder problemet med gulvrummet også.

[warning]ATTENTION! Special precautions due to underfloor storage rooms[/warning]

This family were looking for the next car seat for their 10 month-old and app 78 cm tall daughter. She was able to sit unassisted. They wanted isofix due to the easy installation. Both parents were app 180 cm tall – the father perhaps a bit taller.

The Grand Scenic is a lovely roomy family car. It has three full seats in the back that can be rolled forwards and backwards. This car has isofix in all three backseats that is very easy to get to as it is positioned in the seat cushion in the gap between the seat and the backrest resulting in a good position of all rearfacing car seats.

The car does have one issue tough, which is the underfloor storage compartments that you´ll find well-hidden under a big floor mat as well as a lid and right between the outer backseats and the front seats. It is necessary to fill these compartments in order to spread crashloads evenly across the room and the lid – preferably with materials that are approved for this by the car seat manufacturer. Filling is necessary in cases where the footprop cannot reach the solid steel bottom of the car OR completely misses the room. Otherwise the footprops can penetrate the lid leaving the seat unstable especially in cases where it is not supported by the front seat. Having contact with the front seat has several safety advantages. Reducing the loads on the steel bottom, compartment lids etc of the car is one of them. See the entry Underfloor storage compartments.

No issues with the installation apart from the underfloor storage compartment. The footprop could not recach the steel bottom. It stopped several cm from it. Rolling the backseat further backwards would not have helped. Luckily Klippan has several solutions for filling the compartments such as plywood and styrodur and the lid on top of that. Both easierly obtainable from shops.

Fastening their little girl safely was easy. She used the 2nd harness slots with plenty of growing room left in the seat.

There wasn´t quite room enough for the parents in front. But it is possible to install the seat in the centre backseat instead. This would remove trouble with underfloor storage compartments as well.

 

Opel Corsa 2003/Vauxhall

Familien havde brug for en autostol til deres søn på 10 måneder. Vi slog to fluer med ét smæk ved afprøvning bag førersædet, således at man vidste  hvilken en der ville passe bag begge forsæder. Er der plads bag førersædet, er der også plads bag passagersædet. Sådan er det. Familien var mest til isofix-montering. Men var også åben for selemonterede. Så vi lagde ud med isofix-stolene.

Isofix-systemet sidder langt fremme i denne bil, men som i en andre biler kan det være vanskeligt at få nogle autostole til at hægte sig på da, selve bilsædet dækker over dem og skal skilles ad. Der følger et sæt isofix-guides med isofix-stole som man sætter på isofixbeslagene i bilen for blotte dem og lette adgangen til dem og monteringen af stolen. Men dette var ikke muligt i denne bil, da isofixbeslagene i bilen buer lidt opad og dermed giver for lidt plads til stolens isofix-arme. Det lykkedes heldigvis uden.

Monteringen var problemfri.

Pladsbehovet var dog for stort. Forsædet måtte hele vejen frem på skinnerne således at der ikke var plads nok til begge forældre der.

Hældningen i bilen var god.

Sønnen blev ikke afprøvet i stolen, men den passer til nyfødte, så intet problem der.

This family needed a cars eat for their 10 month old son. There is allways less room for the driver than the passenger, due to the car pedals, steeringwheel etc. They wanted to know which seat would fit behind the driver too for future reference. So we killed two birds with one stone and installed each seat behind the driver. They preferred isofix, but belted seats were not out of the question. So we started with the isofix seats.

The isofix bars in this car are placed far forwards. However, they are completely covered by the seat cushions, which can make installation of some isofix seats difficult. All isofix seats come with a pair of isofix guides that latch on to the isofix bars in the car and completely uncovers them, keeping the installation of isofix seats free of problems. Exactly this is not possible in this car as the isofix bars turn a bit upwards which creates too little room for the isofix arms on the child car seat itself to pass though and hook on to those in the car. Thankfully we succeeded without them.

The installation was easy.

Space requirement was too big for both parents. The front seat had to go right forwards.

Recline angle was good.

The son did not try the seat, but this s a seat that is suitable from birth, so no issues there.

 

Renault Clio st 2013

Familien havde allerede en Britax Hiway 2 til deres datter, men ønskede en autostol som var nemmere at montere i bilen og ikke skulle spændes efter. Så de var på udkig efter en bagudvendt med isofix, og havde Graco Duologic 2/klippan Kiss 2 som førstevalg. Datteren var 1 år gammel. Mor målte ca 170 cm og far var lidt højere. Stolene blev sat bag passagersædet.

Den første stol som skulle i bilen var førstevalget Duologic 2. men denne stol tog for meget plads i bilen. Forsædet blev ubrugeligt. Den stod eller godt i bilen.

Næste stol blev Britax Dualfix som er mere kompakt. Men denne fyldte lige en tand for meget men stadig noget mindre end Duologic 2. Forsædet var stadig ubrugeligt for os alle.

Dernæst blev Klippan Triofix Recline sat ind i bilen i oprejst stilling, da det var mørkt og det var svært at se hvor man skulle ramme med bøjlen der giver stolen hvilestilling. Det var der heller ikke noget problem i eftersom sæderne i Clioen er flade og Triofix er en meget kompakt stol. Der var godt med plads til forældrene foran og benpladsen var noget bedre end deres nuværende autostol: Britax Hiway som de måtte montere helt ind til ryglænet for selv at få plads nok foran. Benpladsen var også noget bedre for datteren og hun kunne lide at sidde i den. Hun kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i den.

Til sidst blev Fair G/Bimbofix sat ind i bilen. Den bød på mere plads til dem foran og storts et den samme benplads til datteren som Triofix. Der ud over kan den indstilles i hvilestilling med et enkelt håndgreb. Den sad højt i bilen som den typisk gør. Men det var nemt at sætte datteren ind i den og hun kunne lide at sidde der. Hun kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i den.

This family already had a rearfacing car seat for their 1 year-old daughter. However they wanted replace with an isofix rearfacing car seat. They preferred one that did not have one that needed tightening of the seatbelt. So isofix it was. First choice was the Akta Graco Duologic 2/Klippan KISS 2. Mother was 170 cm and the father was a bit taller.

First seat to be installed was the Duologic 2/klippan Kiss. While it was easy to install it and the installation was good and firm, the seat took up far too much space front to back. Front seat was unusable to all of us.

Next up was the Britax Dualfix which is more compact. But this one took too much space as well – tough a little less than the Duologic 2. The front seat was still unusable for all of us.  Installation was nice and easy.

Then came the Klippan Triofix Recline in upright position, as it was dark and difficult to see exactly where the reclinebar had to go on the base. This is no problem really, because the backseats in this car are flat and the seat itself is very compact. It offered very good space in front for all, an the daughter had decent legroom as well, and she felt comfortable in it. She could be safely secured in it.

Last seat to go in was the Fair G /Bimbofix. This one offered a bit more legroom for the adults in front and decent legroom for the daughter too. Recline position can be adjusted while driving. The seat sat high up in the car as usual. She could be easierly and safely secured in it, and she liked the seat.

 

Skoda Octavia st 2006

Den lille pige på 15 måneder, 11 kg og 80 cm skulle have ny autostol. Hun har indtil nu ikke været glad for at sidde i autostol, så planen var at finde en der kunne monteres sikkert på både forsæde og bagsæde og give godt udsyn til sidespejlet foran. Der ud over skulle den have en hvileposition og en god hældning. Far var godt 180 cm og mor 162 cm så vidt huskes.

Stolen var rigtig nem at montere med isofix på bagsædet. Pladsbehovet på bagsædet var godt for begge forældre og stolen havde en god vinkel samt hvileposition på bagsædet.

Det gik desværre ikke at montere Duologic på forsædet, idet spændet til sikkerhedsselen stak så højt op at den gik på stolen og sikkerhedsselen slet ikke kunne strammes godt nok. Det hjalp ikke at justere højden på forsædet. Stolen sejlede rundt på forsædet. dette kaldes Buckle Crunch som er et problem der skal undgås. Der ud over var udsynet gennem sidespejlet for moderen dårligt.

Pigen kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i stolen og havde masser af plads at vokse på.

Udsynet gennem bagruden var ikke så god endnu. Så et Easy-View spejl kunne være en ide for denne familie. Med tiden vil hun få et godt udsyn gennem bagruden.

This little 15 month-old, 11 kg and 80 cm tall girl needed a bigger car seat. So far she has not been a fan of car seats, so something that could be safely installed and used in both the front seat and the backseat was preferred as well as one with a good view to the wing mirror. On top of that, it need to have a good recline position and decent angle in the car. The father was app 180 cm tall and the mother app 162 from memory.

The seat was quickly and easierly installed in the backseat with isofix. Space requirements for parens in front was good for both of them. The angle of the seat was good and so was the sleep position.

Installation on the front passenger seat was not possible. The seatbelt buckle was so high that it hit the car seat so the seatbelt could not be fastend nowhere near enough. Adjusting the height of the front seat did not help at all. The seat floated around on the front passenger seat – making installation in this seat unsafe. This is called Buckle Crunch which should be avoided

The girl could be safely secured in the car seat and had plenty of growing room left.

View through the back window was not good yet. An Easy-View mirror would help them keeping their daughter happy in the backseat. She will get the full view later.

 

VW Golf 2006

Forældrene var på udkig efter den næste størrelse autostol til deres 13 måneder gamle, 10 kg og 80 cm lange datter. Far er 182 cm og mor er 172 cm. De skiftes til at køre bilen. Autostolene er derfor kun blevet afprøvet bag førersædet. De kører mest korte ture i bilen. Planen er at udskifte VW Golfen ud med en Skoda Octavia St. inden ret længe. Heldigvis har Skoda Octavia St. været i mine hænder ved et kundebesøg i Odense ikke ret lang tid siden.

Trods sine 80 cm havde datteren stadig god plads i sin Römer Babysafe SHR.

Monteringen var nem og hurtig som vanlig. Hældningen for datteren var den bedste af alle stolene.

Pladsbehovet var dog for stor for faderen, men ok for moderen.

Udsynet gennem bagruden blev testet og der var ingen problemer, hvilket der typisk ikke er for bagudvendte autostole.

Datteren havde masser af plads at vokse på i den.

Benpladsen for datteren i Duologic var god. Men børn er meget fleksible og kan sidde i stillinger vi voksne for længst har glemt. Dette være sig bla. Skrædderstilling. Langt de fleste børn sidder og ligger fortrineligt med benene bøjede.

Datteren kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i stolen.

These parents were looking for the next size up in car seat for their 13 month-old, 10 kg and 80 cm long daughter. The father is 182 cm tall and the mother is 172 cm tall. Both drive the car. The journeys in the car are mostly very short. The car seats have been test fitted behind the driver´s seat for this reason. They are planning on selling the Golf and buy a Skoda Octavia estate soon. Luckily I have seen the Octavia estate at a very recent test fitting visit in Odense.

Despite her 80 cm this little girl still had good room to grow in her Britax/Römer babysafe SHR.

The installation was smooth and quick as usual. The recline was the best of all the seats tested.

Space requirements were too much for the father but fine for the mother.

Visiablity through the backscreen in  the car was testet too, and there was no problems with this at all. Good visiability is not a problem in rearfacing car seats.

The daughter had lots of room to grow in the Duologic/Klippan KISS.

Legroom for the daughter was great. However, children are VERY flexiable and have no trouble sitting in positions that grown-ups have forgotten about a long time ago. Children sit comfortably with their legs criss-crossed most of the time.

The daughter could be safely secured in the seat.

 

Citroén C5

Familien havde 1 datter på 13 måneder og 10 kg. De havde i forvejen aflagt et ikke særlig succesfuldt besøg i en butik for at få afprøvet Besafe Izi Combi X3, som butikken havde. Besafe Izi Combi X3 isofix blev stillet ind på bagsædet i bilen uden at blive monteret og forankringsselerne til versionen uden isofix kunne ikke monteres uden at fjerne forsædet helt. Så de kontaktede mig.

Mor var 174 cm høj og far 190 cm høj. De ventede barn nr. 2.

De tøvede lidt med isofix monterede stole fordi bagsæderne i bilen hældte meget. De viste sig dog at isofix-systemet var placeret højt oppe og derved udlignede den store hældning på bagsæderne.

Duologic blev afprøvet I bilen med isofix montering så vel som med sikkerhedsselen. Begge monteringer var nemme og hurtige. Det kunne dog godt være en lille smule svært at få selve stolen ind på basen med en lille baby i den. Dette ville kræve at stolen blev løftet lige ind, tippet sædedelen og dreje den lige inden den blev sat fast på basen med begge hænder i brug hvis man vil have hovedstøtten på fra starten af. Ellers ville det være muligt at anvende stolen uden hovedstøtten til barnets hoved nåede toppen af sædedelen.

Pladsbehovet var fin for begge forældre

Hældningen var den bedste af alle stolene som blev afprøvet.

Den lille pige kunne spændes forsvarligt fast i stolen.

This family had 1 13 month old 10 kg daughter. They had paid a rather unsuccesfull visit to a shop with the Besafe Izi Combi X3 in stock. The Besafe Izi Combi X3 isofix seat was put into the backseat of the car without being installed and tether straps for the non-isofix version could not be installed without removing the front seat from the car. So they contacted me.

Mother was 174 cm tall and the father was 190 cm tall. They were expecting again.

They were hesitant to get isofix because of the slope in the backseats, which was quite significant. However, the high position of the isofix points in the car level the isofix mounted seats, so they do get a decent recline.

The Klippan KISS was tested in the car with isofix as well as with seatbelt mounting. Both configurations were easy and fast. However, it would be a little difficult installing the seat unit on the base in the car with a baby in it. That is unless the head support is left off until the baby´s head reaches top of the seat unit. Otherwise the only way to do this would be lifting the seat unit straight in and then turn it round, tip it and install it on the base unit using both hands all the way.

Space requirements were good for both parents.

The recline was the best of all the seats tested in the car.

The little girl could be safely secured in the seat.

 

Hyundai i30 St

Familien havde tvillinger så der var brug for to bagudvendte autostole. Vi monterede bag førersædet eftersom der her vil være mindre plads foran grundet ratstamme og pedalerne end på passagersædet. Vi afprøvede først alle isofixstolene i bilen og tilsidst end er kunne monteres med isofix og sikkerhedsselen. 

Bagsæderne i Hyundai i30 er flade, så det var ikke et problem at få en fornuftig hældning på stolene.

Desværre var pladsbehovet noget for stort for den 182 høje far. Førersædet måtte næsten hele vejen frem på skinnerne.

Skoda Superb 3-på-tværs./3 across

Det er ikke muligt at få 3 autostole på tværs med Akta Graco Dulogic 2/KISS i denne bil hvis man vil gøre brug af isofix-systemet. Da autostolen står helt ind til ryglænet kan det være svært for mange at få hænderne ned imellem og spænde et større barn fast i en selepude med ryg med Duologic placeret på et ydersæde og selepuden i midten. Selepuden kommer desuden i kambolage med med Duologic. Det lader sig ej heller gøre hvis autostolen monteres på midtersædet, fordi isofixarmene på autostolen kommer i kambolage med bilens spænder til sikkerhedsselen – se foto 2. Bag begge forsæder leverer autostolen rigtig fin plads til langbenede personer 185 ca måske lidt mere i højden. 

 

Skoda Superb har bagsæder som hælder lidt mere end normalt. Det er derfor godt at finde en bagudvendt autostol med god hvilefunktion. Akta Graco Duologic 2/KISS har en rigtig god hældning i denne bil selv til de helt små babier.

Det er muligt at få plads til tre børn på bagsædet med Maxi Cosi Mobi

Making a 3-across combination on the backseats of this car is not possible when installing the Ata Graco Duologic 2/KISS car seat with the isofix system. Another thing to influence difficulties with a 3-across combination with this car seat is the close placement to the backrest, which makes fastening an older child in a booster seat difficult, due to lack of space for the hands between the car seats even if the Duologic is placed behind a front seat and the highback booster in the centre rear seat. Nor is this doable with the seat placed in the centre rear position due to the isofix arms covering the seatbelt buckle – see photo 2. This car seat leaves very good room in front for tall parents 6ft 2″ tall perhaps a bit more.

 

The backseats in the Skoda Superb slope a little more than usual. Finding a rearfacing car seat with a good recline is therefore important. The Akta Graco Duoligic 2/KISS has a very good recline in this car – even for newborns.

 

It is possible to get three children across the backseat with with the Maxi Cosi Mobi

Jeg har været så heldig at møde ekspert-bloggeren og model-mutter Sarah Louise som havde brug for to autostole til sønnen og babien. Forsædet kan skubbes næsten helt tilbage. Der er masser af plads foran. Den lille pige har masser af plads at vokse på i stolen.

Stolen er monteret i isofix beslagene men kan nemt monteres med sikkerhedsselen også. Man skal dog have væsenligt kortere ben end en person på 180 cm. Forsædet må næsten hele vejen frem.
